The Passion for Early Childhood Quotes

"We as professional in the early Childhood Field have an opportunity to shape a child's life for the better."

  1. Ashley,

I really like the quotes you chose to include in your blog this week. I agree with the first quote 1000% and I cannot stress enough how important our jobs in the early childhood field are in the life of a child. I still remember many of my preschool teachers and the impact they had on my life. I think it is amazing that as such young children, we learn and depend on our teachers so much. This is what makes me love my job so much. The feeling of a child running to you when he/she is sad and knowing you will make them feel better is such a great feeling.

  2. Ashely,
I liked both of your quotes, its so ironic but we have the same quote by Renatta M. Cooper! I totally agree with the first quote about us having the opportunity to shape a child's life for the better. I feel like we really leave that lasting impression on our students and we should take that opportunity to better them in any way we can, because they need that supporter in their corner. And the reason why I really liked the second quote by Renatta is because some problems take us out of our comfort zone when we deal with our students, but we have to learn and press forward, because our children deserve our support 100%. Great Quotes!

  3. Hi Ashley!
I love the post that states you have to take your ego out of it and think about what is best for the child. There have been many times where I would have a parent teacher conference with a child’s parent, and the parent would be so disrespectful towards me and his/her child. My ego would get so caught up in the situation that I would have an attitude towards the parent. However, I would have to calm down and realize that the situation is not about the parent…it’s about the child. This was a strong quote!

  4. Hi Ashley,
I enjoyed your quote by Escobido. I will never forget my Kindergarten teacher. I was a slow learner, and I was in speech classes, but my teacher always took the time out to help me every Tuesday, and Thursday after school. I believe without her sincere heart I would have been behind most of the students. My parents used to help me, but I truly believe that extra push from my teacher help me even more.
